Q. What makes your products so special ?
A. Our products are made from high quality, industrial grade aluminum extrusions. Our framing is incredibly stronger than our competitors who use galvanized steel studs and much more versatile than building out of masonry.
 
Q. Do I really need to use materials of this quality for an outdoor kitchen ?
A. The choice is yours, but remember, when building an outdoor kitchen you are adding a permanent fixture to your home. For my money, I would want something that is going to last the life of my home.
 
Q. What grills can I use in your 3o60 main grill module ?
A. We're not picky, choose any grill you want. Another thing that separates us from the rest of the companies who build outdoor kitchen modules is that our patent pending design will adjust to accommodate most flush mount or built-in grill heads. With many of our competitors you are limited to choosing and purchasing a grill from them. With our modules you can choose any grill you want. See our modules page for more details
 
Q. Will your products stand up to the extreme climate changes of colder regions ?
A. Absolutely! We are based in Rhode Island and have designed our products to endure the harsh winters experienced in New England. This is another reason we have chosen to manufacture our products out of the highest quality materials. With the cold winters and salt air, New England residents understand that galvanized steel just won't cut it.
 
Q. The framing is aluminum, but what about all of the other parts ?
A. All of our connectors, nuts, bolts and clips are made from either non-reactive stainless steel or are zinc plated. It wouldn't have made sense for us to use the highest quality framing and then short change the rest of the modules.
 
Q. Your units will not fit in my area without modification, what do I do?
A. We can provide you with custom units that meet the size requirements of the area you have to work with. Just let us know the dimensions you need and we will adjust our modules to the size required.
 
Q. Can't I can build the framing myself using galvanized steel studs for about half the cost ?

A. We can't argue with this one, yes our framing is going to be more expensive than building it yourself out of galvanized steel studs. If your only concern is building an outdoor kitchen for the absolute cheapest price, then maybe we are not the company for you. Although, we would pose the following questions to consider;

  • An outdoor kitchen is going to be a permanent fixture to your home, wouldn't you want to use the best products available?
  • How much is your time worth? The time it takes to assemble our products is measured in hours, not weeks or months. It takes the average homeowner 4-6 weekends to complete the framing of an average outdoor kitchen.
  • Do you really want to go through the trials and tribulations of building the framing from scratch, or do you just want a product that works hassle free?
 
Q. I have found vendors that sell completed units for less money ?

A. Once again, we are not the cheapest product on the market and do not intend to try to be. Our main focus is quality. If you are looking for a cheap product, then we are most likely not your solution. If you are looking for the highest quality product at a reasonable price, then Simply Outdoorz has the solution. Here are some of the issues we found with competing products and why we have designed our products to mich higher standards;

  • With competing pre-fabricated units, you are stuck with buying their grills and components as their units are designed to accommodate only the specific grill models they sell. Some will build you a customized unit to support a grill they do not sell, but this comes at additional cost.
  • Competing products need to be shipped as finished units. This raises a whole list of issues. First, there are limits to the size of island you can get as units bigger than 10' cannot be easily shipped. Also, you usually can only order straight configured units from them as anything "L" shaped or with a unique design cannot be shipped. The risk of receiving a damaged unit is much higher as they need to be shipped completed. Getting them in your yard can be a nightmare. I don't own a crane or fork lift, do you?
  • The shipping costs are much higher.
  • The finish layers are often thin and weak to keep the island weight and thus shipping charges down.
  • The materials they use are not to the standards that we would recommend and will not survive the New England winters or any other area with seasonal climate changes.

Our modules are designed to break down and ship using standard shipping methods to keep shipping costs at a minimum. We support most built-in and flush mount grill modules and use the highest quality materials.

Q. If your unit comes in sections, how hard is it to assemble and what tools will I need ?

A. Our units are shipped partially assembled and you will need to put them together. But we have designed them so well that assembly is extremely fast and painless for even the most basic "do-it yourselfer". Here is a list of the tools you will need;

  • 6mm alan wrench (we provide this to you)
  • 5/16 wrench or socket
  • Drywall saw (to cut out the hardi-backer to accommodate your grill or accessories), these cost $10 to $15 at your local hardware store.
  • A light/medium duty drill

That's it! Most people already own these tools and are fully equipped to assemble our modules. Here are a couple images that show our product assembly steps;
 
Q. I don't want to do this myself, I want a company that will design my outdoor kitchen and provide me with a finished product, does Simply Outdoorz do this?

A. Absolutely! In the New England area we provide free in house consultations and will design a solution that fits your requirements. We are a licensed contractor and will perform the complete installation and finish work for the solutions we design. We also have a significant dealer network for homeowners that do not live in the New England area and can provide you with reliable vendors who specialize in our products.

For the most discriminating homeowners who demand a Simply Outdoorz specialized product team, we will fly a team to your location to provide complete design and installation services. Applicable travel costs apply.

 
Q. I'm not sure what products I need and I do not live in New England, can you still help me ?
A. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality support in the industry. Simply e-mail or fax us the dimensions of the area you have to work with (photos of this area will greatly help this process but are not required) and one of our design experts will contact you to help design a solution to meets your desired results. We provide this service free of charge and will send you schematics of the proposed configuration.
 
Q. If I place and order with you, how long does it take to ship and arrive?
A. Orders for the kits usually ship within 1-2 weeks. Complete installations are usually finished within 2-3 weeks after the design phase has been completed.
 
Q. I'm a contractor and want to use you products to build outdoor kitchens for my customers, what do I need to do to get signed up?
A. We welcome all contractors who would like to use our products. There are no start up costs to you and we provide highly discounted rates to licensed contractors. Please call out 800 number to get signed up.
 
Q. Can I offer your products in my store or over the web without stocking them?
A. We can drop ship products directly to your customers, you do not need to stock or warehouse our products to sell them. See our dealer section for more details
